I joined in Le Petite...a year of small projects. October's project was the Schnibbles pattern, Paganini by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. I used Maison de Garance by French General for version 1. Version 4 was done in Rural Jardin with Rouenneries on the border, both by French General. I very much enjoyed piecing both of these quilts. Carrie Nelson's directions were both clear and accurate. If you follow the pressing directions, they go together like butter! Now version 4's border was a little tricky. I called my BFFQ (best friend forever quilter) Patti to help me reread the directions. Sometimes you just need an extra set of eyes! Unfortunately my Spartans did not play well on Saturday, so instead of watching them lose, I listened to them lose while I finished putting the border on version 4. It did take me most of Saturday to get the border on but boy was it worth it! I just love how it turned out! Both of these fabric collections are gorgeous!
I cannot wait to see the parade of other quilters' versions of Paganini. You can see the parade of quilts on either Sherri's A Quilting Life or Sinta's Pink Pincushion. Stop by and see all the beautiful quilts. Or join in for the next project. I can't wait to see what it is!
