I Keep forgetting to give an update on Kristin. Kristin, who is my little sister. Maybe not so little as she is 24. I
know I have posted about her before. She is settled into a new town,
new apartment and new job!!! Kristin loves being a Physician Assistant.
To be honest, she has TWO jobs. She picks up extra hours on the
weekend at an urgent care center in addition to working at a cardiology
clinic. With Kristin all settled, Scooter is living home with her
again. He loves his new home, but we sure miss him!!
I have not done a Wooly Friday Post in ages! I love working with wool. It is relaxing, portable and you end up with a beautiful project to enjoy. Looks like wool can be contagious because Kristin has caught wool fever too!! She asked me to help her pick a good first project and the supplies she would need. This is the project she chose.
Super cute and not too big. It is called Tulip Basket Table Mat and available here. A nice beginner project with just two different stitches. I also thought these would be great beginners projects.
So off we went to get started!
Here Kristin is cutting her shapes that she has drawn on Lite Steam a Seam 2 fusible web. All fused down.
Stitching away. She took her time stitching. Kristin enjoyed it so much, she did not want to finish it too fast!!
Her stitches look great!!!
I think I have a family full of little artist/crafters.
Elaina is a master bracelet maker. She can follow any pattern or YouTube video and make the most beautiful bracelet. Of course, I forgot to take a pic of it when it was done.
Alyssa loves to paint her nails!!! Penguins.

Good times!!! The girls hair is getting super long. They have been growing it for 2 years with the goal to donate it. I think soon, probably after picture day at school.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!! I am done with recent events. I owned my mistake, going to learn from it and move on. There is nothing more to say. I always have and always will put God and my family first. I have been saying no for several months now. 🙂

Love that your precious girls are going to donate their hair. That brought tears to my eyes. Love their nails. My daughter has a nail polish blog, she loves painting hers so much! It's a big thing these days I guess because she has over 400 followers! haha

I love reading about your sweet family. It is obvious that you are all rooted in Christian values, and it reflects in all you say..I know you are proud of your sweet Kristin, and the girls are darling also. For them to have the maturity to donate their hair, and to put others first is a reflection on the good values they have. I do not know how families face life without faith in God to guide them, and be there for the hard places we all eventually face. Your work is lovely, I am going to do some wool work this winter, my daughter has a huge stash! thank you for your inspiration..
Isn't it fun when one of your family members gets into it with you? She sure did a great job on her wool project. Awesome job! You put fusible on the back of your wool? Does that make it hard to stitch through? I have never fused it down.
Your girls are so cute. I wish E. could grow her hair out like that. I'm afraid her hair's like mine. It seems to stop growing as soon as it gets to the shoulders. LOL. Great nails and bracelets!

Oh how fun – your sister will love to have something to help her unwind after working two jobs! She's done a beautiful job with that. How much fun is that to all share time together and do crafts. The pink table runner looks good even without the embrodiery. Sort of modern but it really nice with the stitching.

My niece donated her hair last year. What a wonderful experience. I tried to grow mine out, couldn't make it. Hair donation is a wonderful cause.

Yay for Kristin! She is as talented as you and the girls, Linda! How wonderful that the girls are donating their hair, too! The niece of a good friend did that for her and it made all the difference in her recovery!
