It is officially Fall. Shockingly, I actually have all my fall decor out as well. The girls and I finished decorating last weekend. They live for it…Scott not so much. His job is to bring all the boxes up from downstairs. He was getting a little restless when I kept telling him there was more…and more…and more..
Finally, a little finish of my own. Honeycomb Schnibbles by Carrie Nelson for Miss Rosie’s Quilt Co. You can purchase the pattern here. This is an awesome pattern to feature the fabric. I thought it would look cool in reproductions, but I think it looks great in any fabric. I quilted this last winter. I had the binding attached, just not hand sewn to the back yet. Not sure what I was waiting for?? Probably just the time to sit and stitch. I finally had some stitching time while the girls were at dance.
I pieced this last year and posted about it here. I love decorating with quilts!! I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to have some quilts to enjoy that are mine. Not just “mine” until I have to send them home. π
I used a couple of charm packs of Comfort – Collections for a Cause by Moda. The background is Primitive Muslin by Primitive Gatherings. Big surprise there!! π The fabric looks so nice in my house. The colors are perfect!
The quilting is just a freehand allover swirl. It is fast, easy and looks nice. Like I have time to custom quilt anything of my own?? Some day maybe. π I am just happy to be able to slip something of my own on the machine between client quilts. Threads are So Fine, top and bobbin. Batting is Dream Blend. I love the look after it is washed and dried!
Halloween is so fun to decorate for!! I have things sprinkled allover the house.
I need to write some of my spells down. Too bad I don’t know any quilting spells. π
Of course, I have to have a crow or two. I layered a vintage jar with black beans and candy corn. Another little idea stemmed from Pinterest. I love me some Pinterest! Most of the decorations are from my friend Daphne’s shop here. Her shop looks amazing right now. I could spend a fortune on pumpkins alone!!
Thanks for stopping by! Hopefully, I will have a few more posts this week. π
