MSU Band

Saturday my husband, Scott and I went to the MSU Spartans Football game in East Lansing.  Our wonderful neighbors gave us their tickets for the day.  They have the best tickets because they are part of the Spartan Club.  Spartan Club seats include a suite, all you can eat food and drink, overhead heaters over the seats and convenient, clean no wait restrooms.  The last one being my favorite!  On the dessert buffet I found a cupcake that reminded me of Thelma  of Cupcakes ‘n Daisies.

I ignored my diet, took one for the team and ate it in honor of Thelma!  It had a raspberry fruit center.  I thought it was delicious, but I am not the cupcake expert that Thelma is!  All cupcakes seem to be pretty good to me!  We scored some treats for our daughters as well!

Michigan State won!  I thought there was only one thing that would make my day perfect…stop at a quilt shop on the way home!  Not really sure if Scott felt the same!!  We stopped at one of my favorite shops, The Hen House of Charlotte, Michigan.  Whenever I need a little primitive fix, this shop fits the bill!

I really like the prim flowers and applique on this quilt.

I love Nancy’s (the shop owner) sample made from “Lincoln” Schnibbles pattern.

I thought this quilt was so pretty.  It’s a Baltimore BOM starting soon.

If you are ever near Lansing or Charlotte MI, The Hen House is worth a visit!
