I had a very nice weekend working on “Plan C” made with the Bliss fabric collection.  I am still really loving these fabrics.  I was able to get a lot done on the quilt top, but I would have liked to get it all done!  I pieced all my blocks into rows.  I was able to sew my rows  together and get the inner border attached!  All I have left to do is make the piano keys border.

Yes, that’s Sarge aka Mr. Smelly trying to find a place to take a nap!  I waited until this morning to take pictures because I thought the lighting would be better, well it’s just as dark because it’s pouring rain here this morning!  I just love this quilt!  I can’t believe how well it went together.  I didn’t cut off one single point on my flying geese!  AND all my points matched up.  First time EVER!

Hats off to the designer, Carrie Nelson for writing such a precise pattern!  I think I am finally over my geese phobia!  Now for the piano keys border.  I have not made one yet, so I hope it goes together as well as the rest of the quilt!

By the way, there is still time to enter my giveaway!  The polls haven’t closed yet!  All you have to do is leave a comment on Thursday, Nov. 18th’s post saying what you are thankful for this Thanksgiving.  To all my blogging friends overseas, please leave a comment too.  I know you don’t celebrate Thanksgiving the way we do, but just leave a comment about what you are thankful for this year.

Today is my second day at the shop!  I can’t wait!

Very pretty…I have my fabrics all picked out for my Plan C, but have been hand quilting a Christmas gift, so haven't started. Thanks for the inspiration!

It is much bigger than I thought it would be! Your girls are going to have to flip for it, aren't they? Or, you could always buy more fabric and make another one!

Well done, Linda! You've inspired me – I have this pattern, too and there is a new line coming to my LQS that will be perfect for it! A hint on piano borders…sew each row of your strips from the opposite side and they won't come out wonky!
    Cheers!

That is a beautiful quilt, always loved that design, but I am horrible at matching my points, or maybe lazy;) My furry guys always have to test out my pieces when I lay them out.
