Today has been a day filled with good things.  First,  I received my prize from the Le Petite Parade!  It was a bundle of 8 fatquarters of fall fabric from Bear Paw Quilts and More.

I see some table runners made from this fabric in the near future!

Second, my Alpine Wonder and my prize winning Paganini are going to be displayed as shop samples at my LQS, Quilts at the Marshall House!  AND I am going to start teaching a monthly Schnibbles class there!  AND I am going to start working there one day a week!  I am so excited!  I am walking on clouds!  I am pinching myself as we speak.  I’m pretty sure I’ll be signing my paycheck right back over to Karen the shop owner!

Last, I have not been working on any projects this week because I have been helping my very dear friend Daphne with the grand reopening of her shop Daphne’s Custom Framing & Gift Gallery.  She has relocated her shop to a new store front and the grand opening is Saturday for her annual holiday open house.  This week I have been helping her unpack stock and decorate her store.  I’m so excited for her!  Her store is gorgeous!  Most of my home is decorated with items from her shop.  I could be her second showroom, I swear!  I have been decorating trees for the past two days.  Sssshhhhh, I am going to give you a sneak peak.  She hasn’t even let anyone peak in the doors or windows!

I worked on this tree for a day and a half!  I swear it has a thousand ornaments, all glass.  Yes, there were a few casualties.  Close up of some of the ornaments…

Daphne has several themed trees in here shop.  Here are a few…

FUN Pink Flamingo Tree

Shoes and handbags, my favorite…

 More shop pics…

Trust me that was just a teeny tiny peak of what that shop has to offer!  Daphnes’s shop is magnificent and when she opens her doors on Saturday, it’ll be breathtaking!

That looks like my kind of shop! I love Christmas and everything around it and if I had a chance of shopping such baubles I would go bankrupt!
