Hop To It

The last block in my wool version of “From My Garden Album Quilt” from the book Hop To It by Edyta Sitar is done!  This block is called “Rose Hip Wreath.”  There was A LOT of stitching around the wool in this one!  I, of course love it, like all the rest of the blocks!  I can’t believe all my blocks are finally done.

This quilt has been such a pleasure to make!  I’ve loved every step!

Now I just need to get it all sewn together!  It’s such a beautiful quilt and versatile.  I’ve seen it done in so many different fabrics and each one is beautiful.  Carrie has been working on her version using the fabric line Martinique by 3 Sisters for Moda.  It’s gorgeous!  Then I just found out yesterday Mary, Sue and Melanie are doing a sew along together making their own versions!  I can’t wait to follow their progress.  Melanie’s blog is new to me, it turns out we are kind of neighbors.  She lives several hours North of me in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  She has a wonderful blog!

I actually won a very sweet Valentine’s giveaway from Carrie.  Her blog is A Passion for Applique.    The heart smells like lavender!  Now I have my first FQ of Valentine’s fabric.  Thanks so much Carrie!  The girls really enjoyed the chocolate too! 🙂

I just read that my “Sweet Spot” won a prize in the Le Petite parade of quilts!!  I’m so excited!  I won a layer cake of my choice from Fat Quarter Shop!  How generous!!  A big thank you to Sinta, Sherri and Fat Quarter Shop!

I’m off to Jamie’s studio today.  It’s rescheduled from last month when the weather was horrendous!  I can’t wait!  I hope I learn tons!!
