The last block in my wool version of “From My Garden Album Quilt” from the book Hop To It by Edyta Sitar is done! This block is called “Rose Hip Wreath.” There was A LOT of stitching around the wool in this one! I, of course love it, like all the rest of the blocks! I can’t believe all my blocks are finally done.
This quilt has been such a pleasure to make! I’ve loved every step!
Now I just need to get it all sewn together! It’s such a beautiful quilt and versatile. I’ve seen it done in so many different fabrics and each one is beautiful. Carrie has been working on her version using the fabric line Martinique by 3 Sisters for Moda. It’s gorgeous! Then I just found out yesterday Mary, Sue and Melanie are doing a sew along together making their own versions! I can’t wait to follow their progress. Melanie’s blog is new to me, it turns out we are kind of neighbors. She lives several hours North of me in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She has a wonderful blog!
I actually won a very sweet Valentine’s giveaway from Carrie. Her blog is A Passion for Applique. The heart smells like lavender! Now I have my first FQ of Valentine’s fabric. Thanks so much Carrie! The girls really enjoyed the chocolate too! 🙂
I just read that my “Sweet Spot” won a prize in the Le Petite parade of quilts!! I’m so excited! I won a layer cake of my choice from Fat Quarter Shop! How generous!! A big thank you to Sinta, Sherri and Fat Quarter Shop!
I’m off to Jamie’s studio today. It’s rescheduled from last month when the weather was horrendous! I can’t wait! I hope I learn tons!!
Your wool quilt is beautiful. I can't wait to see the completed top. Hugs
Love the colors in that block, beautiful wool shades.
I tried doing a similar design in fabric and messed it all up, I think wool would be easier for me on designs like that.
Wow!! I'm like the others…I can't wait to see the finished top!! This quilt is going to be an heirloom for sure!! Well done!
It seems like you just started appliqueing those blocks and now it's done! It's gorgeous!!
OMG! That quilt is so beautiful!! I cannot wait to see how you quilt this on Annie.
I have one of Carrie's hearts too! I LOVE it. She is such a doll.
Have fun with Jamie today! I love this block. I think it's my favorite. Can't wait to see it all put together. 🙂 What a great prize! It is beautiful!
Love your blocks – they are all gorgeous but you do know which one is MY fav. LOL
A heart from Carrie – she's a sweetie.
You're going to enjoy getting to know Melanie – another sweetie.
And, a win from The Fat Quarter Shop – woohoo!!!
Gorgeous applique! And congratulations on winning a prize for your Sweet Spot! Now I have to go check out Melanie's blog…
Absolutely love this quilt and the newest block is gorgeous, I will be anxious to see it all together too ! Wonderful work .
I've always loved sewing with wool and your wool quilt must be such a joy to work with as well. The blocks are certainly beautiful…
Looks wonderful – Have fun at Jamies.
Congratulations on fun wins!! Woohoo 🙂 Your blocks look great…..wonderful job getting them finished 🙂 Enjoy your day!
Your Garden Album quilt is so pretty!
Yay – don't you love it when the last block is done?! How are you planning to quilt it? Have a great day with Jamie!
I'm so in love with your Hop To It – spectacular quilt! Congrats on your lovely win from Carrie, and your Sweet Spot winning a prize too! Better go get a lottery ticket, girl…
Beautiful Hop To It blocks. That is going to be a pretty quilt. I also wonder how you are going to quilt it?
Your Hop to it is absolutely gorgeous. I'm just gonna have to give in and order that book! I love it. Great job.
Beautiful blocks. Sweet treats from the always sweet Carrie.
Your blocks are wonderful. Well done on your win too, I wonder what you're going to chose?
What a beautiful quilt this is going to be!! I have the book. I will have to do mine in cottons instead of wool. It is very hard to find wool here.
I can't wait to see it completed 🙂
Have a good weekend!
What absolutely beautiful blocks! You've done the most amazing job!
I'm cutting out the backgrounds this weekend. I even have a notebook to jot things down as I go along. I work full time, so making this with friends is as much fun as the quilting itself. I don't get a lot of free time to 'Bond'. I just want to remember all the pieces of the quilt— the fabric, the stitches, and the friendship.
Your quilt continues to look better and better.
Congrats on your win and I am glad you got the heart sachet. Enjoy!
