I’ve picked up some new goodies to decorate with recently. I love adding a few new things here and there. It just gives the house a bit of a new look. I know it’s not Easter yet, but I couldn’t pass these up.
Little bunnies and grubby eggs! I recently discovered a fabulous new primitive selling blog called KKL Primitives Selling Blog. Denise, the artist, is super talented!! She has the sweetest homemade goods!! I could almost eat the bunnies! They smell just like a cinnamon bun because they are rubbed with cinnamon for a gorgeous patina. I also picked up this darling stitchery. Just made my heart melt!
It came with the primitive black frame too. I just love it!!!
I’ve picked up a few things from my favorite little prim shop in Shipshewana called A Thankful Heart. I had a gift certificate burning in my pocket from Christmas. I picked up a couple of prim trees and a new house. They currently are decorating the top of our entertainment center.
I looked at the trees last fall, but scored them and the red school house half off during their sale! I also picked up a gorgeous quilt shelf. Not on sale. I still need to find the perfect place to hang it.
The second photo is a more accurate depiction of the color. I think I know where I want to hang it, but I’m thinking I’d like a matching bench under it. 🙂
My friend Patti made me the sweetest Christmas present.
She painted a little Shaker box and stitched a wool flower on top! I love it!!! Goes perfectly in my house. What a friend!!
Well, that concludes my little tour. Hopefully, I’ll get some of my Easter decor up this weekend to match my new little bunnies and eggs.
Gorgeous new things – I love the wooden houses and the box from Patti is fabulous!
What wonderful items to decorate with. I need some quilt hangers, figured I would get my husband to make me some.
Lovely accessories. It is nice to have a change at home.
those bunnies are adorable. who would have thought to rub cinnamon on them? pretty neat idea. love all your decorations!
Great finds! I love them all. I love that old card catalog you have there. I want one of those. I think it would be a great place to store fat quarters!
I love your decorations, Linda. I was just at Shipshewana last week or maybe it was the week before last. Anyway, I love the shop A Thankful Heart. It is definitely one of my favorites!
Warm and cozy. It's fun finding things that speak to us. Cleaning out our basement I discovered a box of Easter decorations I forgot I had. :o)
Your new decorations are awesome! Love the bunnies and the houses. Wonderful! One of these days I'll get to Shipshewana!
I love handmade decor at my house too!! Love your purchases!!
Oh how I envy you getting to go to Shipshewana. You've bought some cute things, and I agree that I think a bench to go under the quilt rack would be just perfect.
Love all the decor but you know I LOVE those bunnies. 🙂
Hi Linda, I'm so glad you are happy with your lil bunnies and eggs 😀 My husband always says that 'someday' we'll have to stop off in Shipshewana on our way to Chicago ( we go twice a year) but so far it's not happened. I understand there is a HUGE fleamarket there on Wednesdays.
Love your Shaker box! Your quilt shelf is beautiful – not the mention the quilt you have hanging on it!!
