Impera_Magna aka Freda from The Adventures of the Empress of the Universe thought I’d like to play a little game of “5 Things I Never Leave the House Without”.  I had to really think about it because I’m always leaving the house in a hurry!

Here goes…

1.  Cell Phone – Pesky little thing, but I feel naked without it.  I remember when I didn’t have one.  How did I ever manage??  Sad.

2.  Glasses – This is new one for me.  A necessity now.  Can’t drive without them!

3.  Wallet – Sometimes I forget to put my wallet back in my purse after some….Internet shopping. πŸ™‚  Yes, as sure as I am writing this, I will get pulled over without my driver’s license on that day.  I speak from experience.

4.  Ugg Boots – With living in Michigan, I wear them for nearly 8 months out of the year.  They are the best boots for keeping my feet and legs warm during the winter.  No, I do not wear them with skirts or shorts for fashion reasons.  I wear them for warmth!!  I actually have a pair I just wear in the house because I love how warm they keep me.

5.  Sarge – Every morning I drive the girls to school.  Sarge goes too!  He rides in the passenger seat with his nose out the window every morning.  He thinks he’s one of the kids too!  Trust me, he would hop out and go with the girls to school too, if he could! πŸ™‚

 Those are my 5 things.

Also, I was nominated for the Liebster Blog Award – a blog with under 300 followers by Karen of Of Quilts and Other Musings.  Thanks Karen!  Blogging has been such a wonderful new chapter in my life.  I still can’t believe I have followers.  πŸ™‚

I hope everyone has a nice weekend.  I seem to have caught a bit of a cough.  I’m sure running around with a wet head not so long ago didn’t help!

Sarge is to cute in that pic! I love it when you can almost see what a dog is thinking.
I'm so glad to hear that you wear Ugg's for warmth, not for a fashion statement. I hate when girl wear them with short or skirts. It seems so silly!

I love Sarge and I'm glad he gets to go along for a ride. πŸ™‚

Nice to know a few things about you. πŸ™‚

I keep what I need in my purse, so when I leave I grab that and usually don't forget things, lol.

I loved this post! Especially because last night I went to Target while my son was at soccer to get some things and to use a few coupons that were going to expire…….guess what I forgot because I thought I'd change it up and use a different purse this week? The coupons! I don't like coupons! I dont remember to use them then I feel bad about it! Silly, I know! Then I wonder, how much is it worth to go back? Oh, well! Sorry for the long, rambling comment πŸ™‚ Congrats on your award! You deserve it…..you've got a great blog πŸ™‚

That's so great. I was surprised you didn't say your straightening iron! haha. I am forever doing that with my wallet, too! LOL! I would really have to think about what my 5 things would be.

Interesting post ,and I can relate to some of them ,first off if I can get along without a purse I will do so so I would be in big trouble if I was stopped πŸ™ Your dog is adorable and our Luke likes to be a part of the family too , they sure have a personality don't they and you just have to love them.Congratulations on the award , you deserve it !

  • Impera Magna says:

Oh… internet shopping and credit cards NOT being in my wallet… so embarrassing!

  • Candace says:

I have to laugh about the internet shopping – I've tried to pay for something in the store more than once and realized where I left my wallet! And I'm so glad Sarge is on the list!
    Cheers!

All things I don't leave home without either! Love the UGG boots:)

  • Cheryll says:

Lily is smitten with Sarge. She wants to ride with him and the kids.

  • Yvette says:

    #5 is my favorite!

  • Lainee says:

I'm quilty of the first three items, especially the license/credit card…hate carrying a purse. Love jackets with inside pockets.

Reggie has put on a lot of miles in the car with me, but doesn't go much since we go Max. It's not good when an 80 lb dog wants to be in your lap an/or barking insanely at passing cars.

  • Deb says:

I'm with you on the UGG boots. I have 3 pair, and from about late October until April I wear nothing but my UGGs.

  • Sinta Renee says:

All of those things are very important… especially #1. Sarge is sweet- I take my dog with me as weather permits. Usually it's to warm for a dog in the car, if you have to run an errand here in Calif (even though we are in the mountains)except for winter… I can relate to the Uggs then!

  • Sinta Renee says:

Congrats on the award- I love your blog!!!

  • Joanne says:

Congratulations on the nomination – your blog is fantastic!!!
Have a great weekend – I hope your cough doesn't turn into anything – take care.β™₯

  • Allie says:

I don't leave home without my phone either, how did we survive without them????? I hardly ever use it though! Sarge is just adorable…did he stick his nose out the window THIS morning, lol? BRRRR! Congrats on your award! And please, take care of that cough!

  • QuiltSue says:

I'm with you on all of those I think, except that I don't have a dog. Ugg boots are great – my kids got me some for Christmas. I keep spare glasses in the car, and I am forever forgetting my purse (wallet in your language!). As for mobile phones, I even seem to keep mine with me in the house – how sad is that?

  • West Michigan Quilter says:

I'm with you on all those things, except the Ugg boots. I don't own any. Sarge is so cute. Aren't pets comforting? Dogs are the best!

  • Joan says:

Your list sounds greaat – I am in the process of a list to throw in the car with me if we get a bush bush fire…its really hot, the winds are strong…and a toatl fire ban is on…not nice at all, and after the 79 houses nearer to Perth were all burnt down a week or so ago – its a huge thing on our minds…you dog is so beautiful. Our poodle goes with us most times :)Andrea is in the kitchen cooking – Hi to the girls.

Can't leave Sarge at home. He likes routine too.:D
