For the record, yes, I had the best time ever at the Keith Urban concert last Friday night!  I have lots to share about that later in the week.  Lots of exciting things going on here.  Busy seems to be the norm.  I am way behind on emails and comments, please forgive me if I haven’t responded…yet.  I plan on playing a little catch up.

I thought I would share a client quilt I quilted recently.  Many of you may already be familiar with it because it was a quilt I quilted for Nicole from Sister’s Choice Quilts.  I’m not sure I can even accurately articulate how excited and nervous I was to quilt for Nicole.  Nicole’s blog was one of the blogs I spent lurking around on long before I started my blog.  Her blog, talent and style have provided me with sooooo much inspiration and enjoyment.  If someone had said to me last summer, “a year from now you’ll be quilting for Nicole,” I would’ve doubled over laughing!!  I even joked around with Scott after my longarm was delivered and said “maybe someday I’ll get to quilt for Nicole.” LOL!  As I was quilting her quilt, I would pinch myself about every 5 minutes to make sure I wasn’t dreaming! πŸ™‚

This quilt was made for Baby E, Nicole soon to be first granddaughter.  It was very special to have a little part in such an exciting event!

Nicole did an amazing job on the quilt.  Bliss fabric was perfect for such a darling pattern.  I love this quilt!!

Nicole suggested an allover pattern, but left the design and thread choice up to me.

I quilted a pretty flower design, all freehand.  Scott actually picked the design from some of my practice samples.  He really is getting a good eye for all this quilting stuff.

I used a beautiful shade of pink Isacord thread, top and bobbin.  Scott and Kristin helped me with that decision.  I’m turning my whole family into quilters! πŸ™‚

The back is so pretty too!

These pics really show the pretty texture of the quilting.

So I got a little crazy with the camera! πŸ™‚

Thank you, Nicole!

Linda, I can't thank you enough for the beautiful job you did on this quilt. Your choice of thread and quilting design could not be more perfect! (And thanks to your assistants as well!). The light pink quilting thread sets off your amazing freehand floral quilting design in the best possible way. This quilt will be a focal point in my grand daughter's room for many years. I am already planning which quilt I want to send you next to be be quilted! If I could only remember what box I packed it in…

    Linda,
I saw this quilt on Nioole's blog and it is gorgeous! Your quilting is just amazing! You are just a natural born quilter. I would have taken lots of pics too! Your family is great with helping make your quilting and thread choices.
    Hugs,
    Donna

I think you and Nicole make a great team – both of you are so talented.

My cousin and I have commented on different 'big-name' blogs, and we always joke when the bloggers respond to us. We tell each other they are our new BFF's.
