I’m not sure what you call them, but I call them another good allover edge-to-edge design! I tried it in different scales, small and large. I think they look nice and will make a good allover quilt design. I’m trying to develop and master a handful of freehand allover designs. Everything that I’ve been practicing so far has all been freehand. I try to draw them on paper first, well lately I’ve just been going for it without drawing first! ๐
Today I will be having my first “class” with Jamie at his studio. I will be heading over with a group of friends and fellow LAmers. Fun!! We will be learning about thread art. It’s a drawing class. No work on the machines today. I’m very curious about how the class will be. I’m sure it’ll be very helpful and informative. I’ve never taken a class I didn’t learn something. I’ll take lots of photos and share them with you!
My new and very good friend Stephanie, aka Mama Pea at Peas In A Pod blog is having a very cute giveaway. Stop by her blog and check it out!! Stephanie’s blog is awesome if you haven’t stopped by there yet. She has some exciting things going on. She was just chosen to be a Creative Consultant on Amanda Herring of The Quilted Fish design team!! I am so excited for her!! Congratulations Stephanie!
Oh I like that new swirl. Might try that one out myself. Good thing Scott made you go to the doctor, you should take care of your eyes, otherwise how will you quilt? ๐
I can't wait myself until Marina starts up the quilting course again. So inspirational to see what other people are doing plus you learn new techniques.
I get a migraine almost every time I go to the eye doctor…something about them shining those bright lights right into your eye…
Your quilting looks fantastic!!!
I am as blind as a bat so I feel your pain. No headaches for me, only trifocal lenses. LOL!!!!! Hey, I can start a campfire if I ever get stranded on an island. ๐
You're a natural with your A-1. ๐
BREATHE!!! teehee
Hi Linda, your quilting is so nice, thanks for showing us. So sorry about your eyes causing your headaches, maybe after you get some glasses it will be much better. Happy Sewing today.
You are picking up the quilting so fast! I think the swirls look fantastic.
Have fun at your class.
It looks as if you have been quilting on a long arm for years already! Hope you get to the bottom of your headache issues.
It won't be long before you are making beautiful quilts, you really have the gift of quilting. I would like to take a thread art class, never get the chance , but hopefully I can this year.
Debbie
Oh No! Not another headache! Girl, I feel for you. Hopefully this class is just what you need to make those headaches a distant memory. Have fun!
Your quilting is fantastic. If you do that great a job as a beginner, I can only imagine how beautiful your quilts will be once you get some more doodling under your belt! Great job!
Looks like to me your ready for a REAL practice piece. The swirls look great.
Linda,
So, are you getting glasses? I have been thinking I need to go to the eye doctor again. It is to the point where I pretty much need the glasses to read my phone. If I have to get them, it will be bifocals, because my distance vision is fine. Sigh. That makes me feel old.
Your quilting is amazing. I just can't get over how good you are in such a short period of time.
I cannot WAIT to hear about your first class. That is just really exciting!
Thanks for the link!
THe swirls look wonderful. Hope your headache has not progressed again. Look forward to the news on your eyes. Have a great tutorial with Jamie .. look forward to hearing how you went and what you learnt.
I tell you what I call your swirls: Beautiful. I am in total awe of your skill with the LA.
Hope you had a great time on the course, and I'm sorry your headache is back, but at least you're on the way to getting it sorted.
I get a headache every time I go to the eye doctor too…too much messing around with stuff I guess, but once I get new glasses, I'm great again. Hope it works! Your quilting is awesome…hope you had a great time at class.
Your quilting looks great!
You were probably stressed waiting 2 hours when you knew you probably had better things to be doing. Hope you have a good report.
I can say that your quilting looks fun.
I'll pray about your eyes!!!
The free style is beautiful, and you do a good job at it! Keep it up!
Can't wait to see photos of the class! I'm sure you learned a lot! Sorry about your migraine and hope your eyes are ok…

Joy
