On Scott’s persistence, I finally went to the eye doctor Friday.  I almost canceled my appointment.  It’s a good thing I didn’t because apparently this should be my new picture…
I’ll fill you in on all the details Monday.  After TWO HOURS at the eye doctor, guess what…my headache was back.  Grrrrrrr!  Not as bad as it was before, but I had a headache, yet again.
I did manage to get just a few moments of doodling in Friday.

I’m not sure what you call them, but I call them another good allover edge-to-edge design!  I tried it in different scales, small and large.  I think they look nice and will make a good allover quilt design.  I’m trying to develop and master a handful of freehand allover designs.  Everything that I’ve been practicing so far has all been freehand.  I try to draw them on paper first, well lately I’ve just been going for it without drawing first! πŸ™‚

Today I will be having my first “class” with Jamie at his studio.  I will be heading over with a group of friends and fellow LAmers.  Fun!!  We will be learning about thread art.  It’s a drawing class.  No work on the machines today.  I’m very curious about how the class will be.  I’m sure it’ll be very helpful and informative.  I’ve never taken a class I didn’t learn something.  I’ll take lots of photos and share them with you!

My new and very good friend Stephanie, aka Mama Pea at Peas In A Pod blog is having a very cute giveaway.  Stop by her blog and check it out!!  Stephanie’s blog is awesome if you haven’t stopped by there yet.  She has some exciting things going on.  She was just chosen to be a Creative Consultant on Amanda Herring of The Quilted Fish design team!!  I am so excited for her!!  Congratulations Stephanie!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Oh I like that new swirl. Might try that one out myself. Good thing Scott made you go to the doctor, you should take care of your eyes, otherwise how will you quilt? πŸ™‚
I can't wait myself until Marina starts up the quilting course again. So inspirational to see what other people are doing plus you learn new techniques.

    Your quilting looks fantastic!!!

I am as blind as a bat so I feel your pain. No headaches for me, only trifocal lenses. LOL!!!!! Hey, I can start a campfire if I ever get stranded on an island. πŸ˜‰

It won't be long before you are making beautiful quilts, you really have the gift of quilting. I would like to take a thread art class, never get the chance , but hopefully I can this year.

Your quilting is fantastic. If you do that great a job as a beginner, I can only imagine how beautiful your quilts will be once you get some more doodling under your belt! Great job!

Looks like to me your ready for a REAL practice piece. The swirls look great.

    Linda,

So, are you getting glasses? I have been thinking I need to go to the eye doctor again. It is to the point where I pretty much need the glasses to read my phone. If I have to get them, it will be bifocals, because my distance vision is fine. Sigh. That makes me feel old.

Your quilting is amazing. I just can't get over how good you are in such a short period of time.

I cannot WAIT to hear about your first class. That is just really exciting!

    Thanks for the link!

I tell you what I call your swirls: Beautiful. I am in total awe of your skill with the LA.

Hope you had a great time on the course, and I'm sorry your headache is back, but at least you're on the way to getting it sorted.

You were probably stressed waiting 2 hours when you knew you probably had better things to be doing. Hope you have a good report.
