I hope I haven’t lost all my blogging friends. Scott is convinced everyone is going to think I’ve abandoned them. He was really giving me a hard time about not posting. I swear, one day he’s telling me we should have bought a “blogging” machine instead of a quilting machine and the next he’s telling me I’m not posting enough! LOL! Anyways, no, I did not go on vacation. I wish. I had been feeling rather sluggish the past few weeks. Then last Wednesday evening I started having a dull pain on my left side. Initially, I thought I may have pulled a muscle. Well, I woke Scott up at 3 AM because I thought I might need to go to the ER because the pain was so intense. I decided to wait it out and call the doc in the morning because it was a pain that I was pretty sure I remembered…kidney stones. đ This is not my first rodeo with kidney stones. I did end up going to the doc. I definitely have an infection. We are going to see if I start feeling better after taking some antibiotics. Hopefully, it’s just a kidney infection. Fingers crossed. I need to get back on track with client quilts! Having this down time has put me a little behind. I’ll be quilting 24/7 the next few weeks!!! LOL! No joke.
I thought I would share a quilt I did nearly a month ago for my client, Pat. I almost forgot to post it!
The fabrics are a gorgeous group of batiks. They are fabrics from Edyta Sitar’s line. I love the snowflakes!
I believe Pat said the quilt will be a retirement gift for a coworker. What an awesome gift! Pat did a beautiful job on the piecing. We thought this allover quilt design would work great.
The backing is a wide back batik. I used a pretty shade of blue Isacord thread on the top and bobbin. Pat was thrilled with her quilt.
I can’t wait to show you a quilt I just finished. It’s gorgeous!! It was truly a labor of love. I think my irritability with not feeling well translated into me being particularly picky about the quilting. It was definitely worth all the time I spent on it! I’m shipping it off to it’s home today. I’ll be able to post all about it soon. Now, I’m off to quilt!
