Oops, I took a little blogging leave of absence.  We had some family stuff and had to go out of town too last week.  It’s nice to have things back to normal this week. πŸ™‚  I had some nice emails wondering if I was OK because I had been so quiet.  Thank you.

So, the title of my blog post is 37 Years.  Yep, I’m 37 years old officially as of yesterday.  My family and friends made it the best birthday yet.  My bff Patti had the most thoughtful gift made for me…

It’s a personalized painted tile with my tumbler quilt and logo!!  The logo is the one Scott designed for me with my initials in the pineapple!!!  I was so surprised and overwhelmed with emotion when she gave it to me.  I LOVE it!!!!  I can’t believe all the attention to detail on it.  It was made by Renee of Kudos Kitchen by Renee.  If you click on the link, you can read all about how she designed and painted it.  It’s a great story!!  Renee has a great blog.  She posts all sorts of tutorials, her projects and recipes.  She is super talented and can personalize anything!  She also has a wonderful Etsy site.  She has tons of great gift items.  A huge big thank you to Patti…you’re the most loyal, supportive friend I could ever have!

Now, my family didn’t do too bad either.  They are sending me with $$ and giftcards to The Mothership of Wool…Primitive Gatherings!!!  Myself, along with my two best girlfriends are going on a quilt retreat there next month.  I CAN’T wait!!!  We’ll be taking a class with Lisa Bongean while we are there.  Lisa is going to surprise us with a brand new wool project.

Scott is always thinking too.  He gave me a Jawbone Bluetooth.  I love it.  Most of the time, I don’t answer the phone during the day because I’m busy quilting.  Plus, like most women, I’m multi-tasking and need my hands for other things.  No time to hold a phone!!  I already feel like I’m getting more things accomplished with this!

I received some really good cards too.  The girls’ card that they made me is probably my favorite, though.

Do you like how they wrote that I’m the best mom they ever had??  LOL!!  I asked them how many they’ve had so far??  Alyssa, I think is going to be a quilter.  She included some feathers (where my hand is) and swirls.

Of course, they did pay me back with some Silly String…

Thanks to my awesome family for a great birthday!
