I am feeling so much better now!  Thank goodness.  It’s hard to feel that lousy when you don’t have time to.  I think there are several little reasons for the migraines, so I’m really going to try hard to pay attention to my diet, exercise, sleep, how much time I’m downstairs quilting and glasses vs. contact wear and see if that helps.

I’m back to quilting up a storm.  I will have some pics to share shortly.  First, I have to share my new favorite tools.  Not for quilting…this time.

Glass nail files.  These are wonderful.  The large one is actually a file for your feet to remove dead skin off your heels.  These are made and sold by my clients that made the “Blue Winter Wonderland” and “Paisley Beauty” quilt.  I gave one to each of the girls and my sister.  These are like the best files I’ve ever used.  I used the one for my feet after I took a bath the other night.  My feet have never felt so soft!!!  Amazing!!  And they’re so pretty too!!!  Now, the one for your feet you are going to want to use once you get out of the shower or bath because it’s made of glass.  How awful would that be if you dropped and broke it in the shower??  You can order these online at Snazzycreations.com.  Deb mentioned that you can also have them personalized or custom painted to whatever you like.  They travel to all the major quilt shows, so look for them there too.  I think I’m going to get some more for Christmas gifts this year.

Garden is coming along beautifully.

We picked these this morning!  Look at that bell pepper!!  The girls and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast of eggs and peppers with some Feta cheese this morning.  Yummy!  We will enjoy the beans and the rest of the peppers for lunch.  The girls put in a request for grilled peppers with Feta for lunch. πŸ™‚

Cucumbers are finally getting some size to them.  I’m thinking it’s going to be cucumber crazy around here next week. πŸ™‚  There is like a 100 little cucumbers like these!  Next week we’ll be eating cucumber and vinegar salads, our favorite!  There is nothing like enjoying fresh vegetables that you’ve grown in your garden.  By the way, I took all the photos with my new iPhone.  Wow, it takes pretty nice photos!  I’m very happy with my new phone!

It’s blistering hot here.  Hope everyone is staying cool out there!

I'm glad you are feeling better! Pain like that makes even the simplest tasks difficult. Your veggies look wonderful……yum!! Thanks for the review of the nail files πŸ™‚ They sound like a nice way to treat yourself! I haven't put any pictures on my iPhone on my blog…..I'll have to figure out how to do it.

Migraines are the worst. I suffered from them terribly until I went through menopause, now I hardly ever get one. When I was getting them Imitrex helped so much. As soon as I felt one coming on I would take the meds and lay down for a half hour. Glad you are feeling better.

Anything you eat or drink that is sugar free, check the label for Aspartame, It gives me an almost instant migraine headache. Also the red food coloring 40 will sometimes do the same thing. so read your labels.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. I always worry about people with headaches. I suffered with them for years. Then I found out I had High blood pressure and got RX and not to many headaches now. A god send for sure. Take care! Lizzie

I absolutely LOVE my glass file. I bought one 3 years ago at the Nashville Quilt show. I keep it by my bedside all the time. Wonderful tool!

Glad you are feeling better. Your garden is so awesome. Mine is such a sorry excuse for a garden! Haha! But it doesn't help when you're gone for 6 weeks right after you plant it, does it?

My husband suffers from migraines. I see how much pain he is in, so I feel for you. Glad you are feeling better, and lets hope you don't get another one for a long while.

Glad to hear you feel better. I'm intrigued by the glass files, have to go check out the website. I love the quilting a couple of posts down, the Paisley, gorgeous! A bit jealous of your garden , we are in the middle of our winter and my garden is looking a bit sad, can't wait for the warmer weather. Your little fisher-girls are so sweet, a few posts down again. Cheers, Rowena
